Much Ado About Nothing - Paul Werstine, Barbara A. Mowat, William Shakespeare I’m not sure how humiliating your partner at your wedding while the other goes off to fake their own death leads to true love but, hey, Shakespeare’s that good. The mindfuck relationship between Hero and Claudio provides a solid body of drama, but it’s in Beatrice and Benedick where the play gets its soul. Their repartee is reminiscent of the best between Petruchio and Kate in The Taming of the Shrew without all the misogyny.
